The Seventh Annual convention was held in San Jose, CA. The convention hotel was the Marriott San Jose-Convention Center, 301 South Market Street, San Jose, CA 95113.  The Marriott San Jose is located approximately 40 miles south of San Francisco. 

 

The schedule was as follows:

October 8 - Welcome, registration and reception at the Arcadia located in the Marriott starting at 6 PM. Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served.

October 9 - Meetings were held at the Marriott including buy/sell session, presentations and auction. Members were strongly encouraged to bring some unusual match safe examples to share with other members. Continental breakfast and lunch was provided for all attendees. Viewing of Tony Schmidt's collection took place between 5-7 PM at the hotel. Dinner and presentation of the commemorative match safes was at the Marriott.

October 10 - Business meeting, discussions and questions and answer sessions were be held at the hotel. Continental breakfast was served. Convention was adjourned at noon.
