2003 IMSA Match Safe Presentations

The day at Andreas' house was topped off with a wonderful evening of dining, dancing and entertainment.

Ron takes Julie out for a spin on the dance floor.

The meal was a delicious presentation of avocado salad, roast beef, swordfish, chicken, black beans and rice, with flan' for desert.

As Johns' plate can attest, nobody went away hungry.  The other fellow was even caught licking his fingers!

Our host, Andreas' wife, makes an appearance from the kitchen after cooking three huge meals that day for the IMSA conventioneers.  Her avocado salad was my favorite... the recipe follows:  Dice and slice 8-10 California avocados in a large bowl.  Mix in one large can of chunk pineapple in its own natural juice. (not the heavy syrup variety)  Then add one finely chopped red onion, three tablespoons of olive oil and 1/4 cup of cider vinegar.  Gently fold all of the ingredients together.  Let stand and cool for a couple of hours in the fridge before serving.

After the meal, George presents the 2003 IMSA silver and gold Statue of Liberty commemorative match safes.

George congratulates Andreas and his wife for the wonderful job they did hosting this years convention.
