Description and Comments:   This match safe was made to commemorate the first meeting of the International Match Safe Association held in Chicago, IL in September 1998. The match safe was based on a design originally produced in sterling by R. Blackinton Co., North Attleboro, MA. Wallace Silversmiths made the commemorative edition for IMSA in 2002. A total of 6, 21 k gold and 11 sterling silver match safes were produced. All match safes are engraved for the 1998 Chicago Convention and numbered.  These match safes were only available to the founding members of IMSA.
